Bacteria and Mould Analyses
Eurofins EnvironeX Laboratories can conduct specialized analyses to count and identify (genus and species) the mould, yeast and bacteria using a variety of sample matrices.
Today, the air that we breathe contains varying levels of foreign bodies, such as organic and inorganic dust, pollen, viruses, bacteria, mould or hydrocarbons. Respiratory diseases and lung failure are on the rise. In many instances, a sample of air quality is needed to determine the element or elements of risk and their levels of toxicity. Once we know the cause, it is easier to find an effective solution to the problem.
Eurofins EnvironeX Laboratories can conduct specialized analyses to count and identify (genus and species) mould, yeast and bacteria using a variety of sample matrices:
- All types of agar used with an air sampler (example: RCS Biotest, Anderson Impactor, etc.)
- Wipe sample analysis
- Direct analyses of materials (gypsum, wood, insulation, furniture, walls, floors, etc.)
- Contact agar analysis
- Dust sample analysis
Our air Microbiology department at Québec city laboratory, participate to the «EMPAT» program from AIHA and is recognized proficient by this body.
Our analysis laboratories are accredited for all the domains of air microbiology by the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC) :
